A Bit About Me.
Creativity has been a part of my story for as long as I can remember. I like to say that my professional creative career began at the age of seven, when I was selected to paint a commissioned 10-foot mural for my local children's museum. While my Nebraska farm scene certainly wouldn't reflect my design standards today, that opportunity sparked a lifelong passion for creating, problem-solving, and bringing ideas to life.
Throughout my childhood, I immersed myself in every creative outlet I could find, from painting, photography, and pottery to digital illustration and countless DIY projects. It wasn't until my senior year of high school, while working on the yearbook staff, that I realized creativity could become a career. Discovering graphic design, journalism, and visual storytelling set me on the path to marketing.
I earned a Bachelor of Journalism in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, along with minors in Art and History. While in college, I worked in the hospitality industry, and after graduation accepted a full-time role as a Marketing and Private Events Coordinator for one of Nebraska's highest-volume entertainment venues.
That experience taught me lessons no classroom could. Working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment strengthened my ability to think quickly, solve problems under pressure, lead through uncertainty, and deliver exceptional experiences. Whether coordinating large-scale events, navigating complex operational challenges, or even planning a wedding in a single week, I learned the value of adaptability, resourcefulness, and strong leadership.
Those experiences laid the foundation for my transition into corporate marketing. After relocating to Omaha, I joined Signature Performance, where I advanced from Administrative Assistant to Graphic Designer, Assistant Design Manager, Creative Manager, and ultimately Director of Enterprise Marketing. Along the way, I've built expertise across nearly every marketing discipline, including brand strategy, product marketing, creative direction, web design, content marketing, digital marketing, event strategy, internal communications, and team leadership.
What I enjoy most about marketing is the opportunity to combine strategy with execution. I'm a hands-on marketing leader who enjoys both developing the vision and rolling up my sleeves to bring it to life. Whether designing a website, launching a product, developing a brand, creating sales enablement materials, or leading cross-functional initiatives, I'm driven by solving complex business challenges through thoughtful, creative marketing.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me exploring a new recipe, enjoying a glass of wine, reading historical fiction, tackling my latest creative project, or spending time with my dog, Finn.
